Become a mentor
What is “Talk to an Entomology Mentor”?
Through this program EntoPOC intends to facilitate anyone interested in entomology (from high school students to early-career professional entomologists) to connect with someone established in entomology. If you are an upper level (4th year or more) graduate student, post doc, professor, or curator we want you to be a mentor for someone! See what the page looks like here. Our goal is that anyone can book an appointment to meet with you via Zoom.

- Create an appointment booking link that is connected to your calendar/Email. You can use the app of your choice but we recommend: https://app.youcanbook.me/
- YouCanBook.Me allows you to choose what time slots people can book with you.
- YouCanBook.Me allows you to ask for information when people book a meeting. You should set it up to ask for:
- Name
- Educational level
- Field of study
- Career/academic goals
- What are your goals for our meeting?
- YouCanBook.Me allows you to customize an auto-reply email. In the auto-reply email you should put a link to your personalized Zoom meeting room (use the same link for all meetings to keep it simple).
- Send your information to EntoPOC to be posted on the EntoPOC Talk to an Entomology Mentor page. Click here to submit your information to EntoPOC: https://forms.gle/SJ3pBXNyHKN8Y7Ur7
